How can I take advantage of the installation service?

Call Our Customer Support Department at 1-800-777-0554.

  1. When you order your equipment, ask the Customer Support Representative for a quote to install the equipment. You’ll need to supply the following information: install location, address, phone number, contact person, and calibration specifications.
  2. After you agree to the quote rate for installation along with the equipment, we’ll arrange for installation by a BDS approved Service Support Representative.
  3. The Service Support Representative will install your equipment and provide training on equipment operation for available staff.
  4. Following installation, a Customer Support Representative will follow-up to verify your satisfaction with the installation.
  5. You receive one invoice for the equipment and the pre-established installation charge.

Note: To qualify for the quoted Installation rate, your site must have the correct utilities for the equipment within 4.5 feet of the equipment’s planned location. No modifications or alterations of existing building fixtures or building structure are included. The installation must be complete during the BDS Service Support Representative’s first trip to your location.

What’s included?
The Installation program includes labor and travel expense to perform the installation at an end user location during normal business hours. Normal business hours are defined as Monday through Friday, (excluding holidays), 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the local time zone of the installation location. Includes standard installation materials, (tubing, cord set or wire, etc.) used to connect equipment to existing building utilities that already meet local building code and are within 4.5 feet of the equipment placement. Modification of structure (cabinets, counters, etc.) is not included but may be done for additional appropriate charges.

Note: Items required by local code or required to adjust utilities to specification for the equipment are not included (examples: water hammer arrestors, back-flow preventors, vacuum breakers, etc.).

Installation will occur within 10 days of receipt of the equipment at either the installer or the end user location.

Note: If the location is not prepared for installation upon scheduled arrival of the Service Support Representative, additional charges may apply.

Selection of Service Support Representative is at the sole discretion of BDS and is based on experience, skills and availability to meet customer demand at the time of the install.

Options:

  • Weekly status reports of installs can be provided to on–going customers. Information included on the reports is:
    • Name, address and phone of the location
    • Status of install
    • Expected date of install
    Reports for customers with more than 100 installs per year or more than 25 installs in a roll out can be produced and sent at no charge. Reports are provided for up to five contacts via e-mail. Additional charges may apply for faxed or posted copies.
  • Priority installs can be provided after normal operating hours if requested. The charge for after hours installation is an additional 50 percent of standard install cost.
